As spaceholders, leaders, and facilitators, we’re often excellent at caring for others—but how often do we truly hold space for ourselves? You’ll learn:

  • Why rest sustains your clarity, presence, and capacity to lead

  • How cultural and personal narratives shape our rest habits

  • Three reflection prompts to deepen your understanding of what replenishes you

If you’re ready to lead from a place of wholeness instead of depletion, start here.

Episode 108 | The Art of Holding Space: 5 Essential Questions for Mindful Leadership

In today's episode, I dive deep into the transformative practice of holding space - a fundamental skill that I've discovered bridges contemplative practices with modern leadership. As I've been developing curriculum for my Yoga Nidra, Restorative Yoga, and meditation training programs, I've found myself exploring how this seemingly spiritual practice directly translates to effective leadership principles.

I share five crucial questions that have revolutionized how I hold space for others, questions that I believe are essential whether you're a yoga teacher, energy healer, coach, educator, or social impact leader. Together, we'll explore the delicate balance between being present without fixing, listening without agenda, and maintaining healthy boundaries while creating a container for growth.

In this episode, I offer practical insights for:

  • Checking your own groundedness before holding space for others
  • Developing comfort with silence and its transformative power
  • Recognizing and releasing judgment during supportive interactions
  • Setting boundaries that enhance rather than limit your ability to support others

This episode is perfect for anyone looking to deepen their practice of presence and support, whether in professional leadership or personal relationships. Join me for this exploration of what it truly means to walk alongside others in their journey with wisdom and grace.

Instagram: @neurobreathe

About Abha:

Abha is an Assistant Professor in the departments of Psychiatry and Neuroscience at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. Abha earned her Ph.D. in Neuroscience from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where she investigated the amygdala's role in stress regulation. Prior to joining Mount Sinai, she conducted postdoctoral research at the University of California-Los Angeles, focusing on understanding certain neuropeptides' impact on stress. At the Icahn School of Medicine, her team explores how the brain, vagus nerve, and body mechanisms contribute to fear, stress, and anxiety.
Beyond her work in the lab, Abha is deeply passionate about whole-body health and spiritual exploration through Yoga. She views science and spirituality as integral parts of life, each posing unique questions approached through distinct methodologies about the objective and subjective reality. She is fascinated by the questions about human consciousness and practical applications of philosophy in daily practice.
While her yoga journey began in Nepal, she delves into profound inquiries about human existence within the cosmic realm, blending logic, reasoning, knowledge, and mysticism from both science and yoga philosophy and practice.

A Sound Bath practice to celebrate the 100th episode! THANK YOU 😁

Welcome to the 100th episode of The Mindful Rebel® Podcast! I am thrilled to  celebrate this incredible milestone with all of you.

When I launched this podcast, I never could have imagined the amazing community that would grow around it. I set out to create a space for meaningful conversations about mindfulness, leadership, personal growth, and social change, and I am so grateful that so many of you have joined myself and the amazing guests on this journey.

As I mark this 100th episode, I want to take a moment to thank you, our listeners. Without your support and engagement, this podcast simply wouldn't exist. Your feedback, comments, and messages have inspired us to keep going, even when the road ahead has been tough. Especially in instances where, I wasn’t sure if people were connecting with the podcast or whether it was even having an impact!

I am incredibly proud of what has been accomplished in the past 100 episodes, but we know that there is still so much work to be done and more conversations to be had. I am committed to bringing you thoughtful, engaging content that helps you to grow, learn, and become more mindful in your everyday life.

So, from the bottom of my heart, thank you for your support. I can't wait to see what the next 100 episodes bring, and I hope that you will continue to join us on this journey.

As a thank you - I want to share with you a sound bath practice. Instead of an interview, I want to gift you space to rest through the vibration of sound.

Once you finish listening, do me a favor, please rate the podcast and leave a review on whatever platform you are listening on. That would mean the world to me.

Okay my friends, enjoy the practice.
