this podcast is going to be all about 60's music. the goal with this podcast is to educate a younger generation on one of the greatest decades of music of all time, and to prove to people that Millennials can love 60's music as well and it's not just for Baby boomers. Each week I"m going to review one song by one artist from the 60's and split the podcast into two halfs. first half is going to be my perspective and my opinion on the song and why I think it's so good or why I don't think it's so great. then I'm going to talk about the history behind the group or artist that did the song and talk about the behind the scenes industry people and places that helped make it a hit (writers and producers, session musicians and band members and recording studios and chart positions, etc.) I will occasionally interview industry people from back then either over the phone or in person to give you a better glimpse of how the business worked back then and how much has changed since then, and to educate younger people on their careers and the songs they made famous to the people listening that may not be familiar with their music at all

Episode 262 Part 1: Ray Stevens.

hey guys! I'm back with another free episode for this podcast! expect one more for this month that will come out next week. so I thought I would chart into some uncharted waters for this podcast finally. I rarely get political on this podcast, but it seems like we live in a heated political world these days. so I thought I would dip my toe into politics just a little bit. and If I offend you, I do apologize, but almost 300 episodes later, I gotta stretch myself with this show somehow. and this song isn't just a political commentary song, but it specifically targets big corporations & CEOs that Americans definitely love to hate these days. this song is so relevant right now it's not even funny. here's the link to it just in case you wanted to check it out:

don't forget to also follow me & reach out to me on Instagram & Tik Tok right here:

if you liked my analysis on this week's song & your TOTALLY livid about the status quo of what's been going on with American Politics & you absolutely DESPISE our current president & every major CEO of the biggest corporations in the world & absolutely fell in LOVE with this song for the first time through me & your a Millennial/Gen Z, then definitely email me at samltwilli@icloud.com. you can also follow me & reach out to me on Instagram & Tik Tok @iheartoldies. thanks for listening guys. I will be back next week with another episode where I will talk about the history behind last week's artist & a little bit on the history behind the song as well.
