Chatting 2020 as a third year, recognising mental illness, and the power of surfing

Welcome to the 5th and final episode of the MeDUSA Community and Well-being Blue Week Podcast series! Today Sally is capping out the series with a candid chat about adjusting to clinical years in the midst of a pandemic with two third-year Deakin Medicine students – Miriam Brownstein and Oli Le Grice. As well as the impact of COVID, the discussion goes into recognising the recurrence of mental illness, how the Deakin School of Medicine is here to help, and just how good surfing is to calm the mind - or anything that allows you to be in nature! We also shed some light on the stigma surrounding mental illness and the misconception that it might impact your future career.

As always, hit us up on community@medusa.org.au for comments, feedback or suggestions! We'd love to hear from you.
