The Matt Babcock Show is a storytelling-driven podcast that takes listeners inside the basketball world—on and off the court. Hosted by Matt Babcock, a former player, coach, and agent who is now an NBA Draft analyst, scout, and advisor, the show draws on a lifetime spent around the game. From growing up in a basketball family to representing players and navigating the draft process, Matt shares personal stories, industry insights, and behind-the-scenes commentary that pull back the curtain on how the basketball business really works. Matt’s roots in the game run deep. His family has worked in the NBA since before he was born, giving him an early front-row seat to the sport. He went on to play in high school and college, coach professionally in Europe, and spend over a decade as a certified NBPA agent before moving into media and scouting. Whether you’re an NBA Draft enthusiast, hoops junkie, or simply curious about the people and decisions shaping the game, this podcast offers a unique, inside perspective on basketball’s past, present, and future.

The 2001 Bucks

The 2001 Bucks
In 2001 I had a firsthand experience watching the Bucks go on a run in the playoffs. This Bucks team was stacked with players like Ray Allen, Sam Cassell and Glenn Robinson. This is when I got my first taste of how emotional the playoffs can be. Every series was a war and I remember the questionable officiating. I also remember how disappointed I was when the Bucks lost in the conference finals. So many "what-ifs" with this team.  https://www.instagram.com/mattbabcock11/
