MIT Campus Update: Career Talks, Law School Info, Historic Track Win, Upcoming Events & Weather—November 3-10
Hey Tim the Beaver, it's Jenny with your Campus Update for November 3 through November 10. Let's get you set for the week—fast. First up—the "Infinite Careers" series features Dr. Renee Blackburn, a transportation specialist at the Volpe Center, on Monday, November 3, from 6 to 7 p.m. in E19-202. Next—the "Leadership and Management in Action Program" continues this Thursday, November 6, from 10:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. And—the "Yale Law School Info Session" is happening Thursday, November 6, from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Location is to be determined. Over the weekend, our women's track and field team clinched their first NCAA Division III Outdoor National Championship, completing a historic sweep of cross country, indoor, and outdoor titles this year. Senior Alexis Boykin led the charge with a record-breaking shot put performance. Looking ahead, men's basketball has an exhibition game against Harvard on Friday, November 7, at 5 p.m. The "Politics, Power, and Money: Steering the Future of Global Health" lecture is on Monday, November 3, from 12 to 1 p.m. in Building 10, Room 105. The "Dresselhaus Lecture" featuring Professor Jennifer Lewis is also on Monday, November 3, from 4 to 5 p.m. in Building 10, Room 250. For a sweet treat, check out the "Bright Spot: Hot Cocoa" event on Monday, November 3, from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Kendall/MIT Open Space. This week in Cambridge, expect a mix of sun and clouds with temperatures ranging from the high 40s to mid-50s. It's breezy midweek, so hold onto your hats. Rain is likely on Sunday, so plan indoor activities. Your move: Attend the "Infinite Careers" talk with Dr. Renee Blackburn on Monday at 6 p.m. in E19-202. It's a great opportunity to gain career insights. That's your quick Campus Update. I'm Jenny—catch you next Monday morning. Tap follow on your podcast app so you never miss a beat.
