This episode I sat down with Dr. Padmini Murthy. Projects she has worked on include safe motherhood and spearheading the procurement of PPE and medical equipment to serve communities in Grenada, Kenya, India, Malawi, and Nepal. Dr. Murthy has been the recipient of numerous national and international awards, Soujouner Truth Pin, Elizabeth Blackwell Medal for her service to women globally. She has been working with other NGOs and organizations to address the current COVID crisis globally in fundraising and collecting PPE and other medical equipment. On this day, we discussed what it would take to move the US toward a healthcare system focused on the longterm well-being of the individual.
