Boats aaaaand… that’s right it’s that time of year again. Spring is upon us. The days are getting longer but a few months ago, the good time jam and extravaganza that is Boats and Bluegrass rolled through town once again. What’s that? You missed it? Ahh… that don’t matter none. KQAL was there to record those sweet sounds for you, so you can enjoy live performances from this year‘s festival all year long. Tonight we’ve got Danny Frank and The Smokey Gold a rocking band comprised of Lead Singer Danny Frank, banjo player Harrison Olk, bassist Joe Scarpellino, and fiddle savant Erin Aldridge. When this group comes together their powers activate in the form of some killer, fiddle and banjo numbers and with some amazing harmonies to boot. I’m Annika Bakkum-Ekern saying kick off those shoes, and give it up for Danny Frank and The Smokey Gold Live from boats and bluegrass 2024 tonight on the live feed.
