The Line Episode 88: Shared Pressure

When in life you start to do things to improve and better yourself, there may be people around you who aren’t doing that same thing. Maybe they’re just coasting. Those people can sometimes feel threatened because they realize you’re succeeding and putting in the effort and they are not. They may think their job is threatened, or it may just make them look bad. They may respond in ways that aren’t always appropriate, and maybe, they are downright rude and intimidating. To quote the mentor of our guest, “Mr. Perry, you don’t let nobody punk you.” You have to stand up for what you’re doing and believe in it enough that it doesn’t matter how people treat you. You judge if how they react is worth your time. Invest in it when it’s worth your time to defend it. In this podcast with Wilson Matthew Betances of Energize Us LLC , We talk about the raw truth, we talk about the foundation of what it is that we need to do in the trades and how you need to be impacting the industry that you’re in. We talk about some of the tools that you can use no matter how uncomfortable I might find them to be. The reality is, you establish yourself on a foundation of raw, real truth and you can stand up to anything or anyone that might be trying to put you back down.
