Though sinless, Mary submitted to the law of purification, humbly aligning herself with God's will and foreshadowing her greater offering to come.

By presenting Jesus, Mary gave her Son not only to God, but to us. Her silent "yes" echoed her fiat from the Annunciation, and in doing so, she joined God the Father in the gift of our salvation. Like Mary, may we have the courage to say “yes” to God’s will, especially in the quiet, hidden moments of faith. What might God be asking you to surrender today?
