My guest today is Mikaela Koelma, Mika for short. Mika is an Australian expat living and working in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. She and her husband Chris are both international school teachers and have lived abroad for the last 9 years. Mika is a bright and sunshine-y breath of fresh air, and from listening to her energy and laugh you wouldn’t know she’s been in a strict government-enforced lockdown for 4 weeks and counting, unable to leave the house for any reason, unless it’s to buy groceries or seek medical care (even exercising outside is banned). Mika also happens to be my sister-in-law and a great friend too, so I hope you enjoy this insight into what life is like during Covid-19 isolation in Kuala Lumpur.
