Ricky is a defiant young city kid who finds himself on the run with his cantankerous foster uncle in the wild New Zealand bush. A misadventure in the wilderness leads to life-changing discoveries for the troubled orphan teen from the city and his belligerent Uncle Hec. A road movie and coming-of-age tale, “Hunt for the Wilderpeople'' is consistently clever and even moving according to Roger Ebert’s website.
