Sometimes Stopping is the Best Way to Start

In this comeback episode, Dr Tej Khalsa MD MSc FRCPC discusses the legacy of George Floyd as a call to awaken our collective dreams. Khalsa shares why sometimes stopping is the best way to start, and how the power of pause expands our capacity to come more fully alive. Khalsa explains how her daily “Last Breath Practice” is inspired by the daily meditative practice of two American giants - Dr. Martin Luther King Jr’s daily “personal commitment” and Congressman John Lewis’ daily “executive session with myself.” Listeners are encouraged to establish their own evening meditation practice - a “Last Breath Practice”, reflecting on their higher meaning and greater purpose. Khalsa also pays tribute to bell hooks as a guide to radically imagining what is possible for humanity.
