We are The Last Action Heroes, a baseball bat wielding, bottle smashing, bloodied fist of a movie podcast and we say the future of action movie heroes is ours if you can count!Now look what we have here before us: This episode we are ducking and weaving through enemy territory for one night only on the mean streets of New York and looking to do some boppin’ as we give THE WARRIORS (1979) a shot at the bigtime.
When the leader of the most powerful gang in NY is assassinated at a grand gang summit, the 9 delegates of Coney Island’s The Warriors find themselves framed for the murder and stranded on the wrong side of the city. Hunted by stylish, violent gangs and brutal police, outmanned but never outclassed, our heroes find themselves in for a night of danger as they try to make their way back to their turf alive. Maybe they should have come packed!
They’re good. Real good! But how good will they do in our ultimate action hero showdown? Will they bop their way to the top or will they get a bat shoved up their ass and turned into popsicles?
