Recap of Session 1:
Where we last left our adventures, they were just coming back to the town after a midnight meeting in the Grey Fen. But lets rewind back to the beginning of our First Session: Aton, Anima and Silas met up in the town of Dezima at the Giant Halfling Tavern. They retired to a private dining room on the 2nd floor where they had good food and drink. Aton and Silas had the Crispy Cheese bake with BOTH Pork and Mushrooms, and Anima at the baked Trout with garlic butter sauce over rice. And to drink Anima had the jasmine tea, Aton had the Whisky and I think Silas had the Firebranded Brandy? Some tipped better than others, but while they chatted a Bird of some kind flew into the tavern and seemed to be looking for someone. After Silas got its attention, the contruct barn owl landed on his arm and delivered a message, “Grey Fen, midnight.”
After Aton took a walk to find nature, Anima and Silas relaxed in the upstairs common room bidding their time until midnight. As they were trying to make their way to the Grey Fen, they were “ambushed” by some ruffians who couldn’t quite get the name of the group down. They seemed to be trying to take their place at the meeting, but they were sorely outmatched. After dispatching a few and chasing off the rest, Team Tasty Cakes was able to ask the bandit that Aton knocked some questions, only to discover it was Chad’s first day. The group allowed him to leave with his life and 5 gold from Silas, with orders to turn his life around and make better choices.
With that the group head to the Grey Fen with no further issues. They meet up with Dyrn and he explains the mission. He is asking the group to investigate the sudden attitude and behavior change of The Regent’s daughter Varrin Thalar.
