Jose Cardenes Troya is originally from Ecuador but moved to Utah several years ago. He served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Chicago, which is where I met him. He has an incredible story of how turning to the Lord and patiently pressing forward has shaped who he is today and given him an understanding of how he can deal with challenges through the rest of his life.
