This week, we're discussing the Twilight Zone episode "King Nine Will Not Return." Captain James Embry is waking up into a nightmare--face down in the African sands, B-52 bomber crashed in front of him, and no sign of his crew. All that is left to do is try and figure out exactly what happened here. For Jame Embry, played by actor Bob Cummings, this is going to be a tale directly out of both the Twilight Zone and Sherlock Holmes. In our analysis, we'll talk about whether or not understanding deductive and inductive reasoning would have helped Captain Embry; we'll get a bit speculative about time and space; and I'll reveal my moment of awe, which has to do with how our brains tend to fill in the gaps of particularly traumatic events.
