A Biblical Theology of Genesis was a Kenwood Hall Anchor Class taught during the Fall 2024 term by Dr. James M. Hamilton Jr. and Dr. Thomas J. Sculthorpe.
In Session 9, Dr. Sculthorpe explains how the characterizations of Joseph and Judah serve as two complementary sides of the Messianic coin in the Joseph narrative (Gen 37:2–47:27). In these two men the royal and prophetic (Joseph) and priestly (Judah) functions of the promised seed are typologically manifest.
