Kirsty and Simon are back with their usual brew of banter, mulling over lots of things as usual, some interesting, some guesthouse, some inane!
Kirsty kicks off with Sundays—why the slow, cozy haze? Is it roast dinners or the weather that makes it? Simon rambles on about something or other about drinking habits until they call it a day.
Head of Security, Derik, shines by alerting them to guest arrivals. Kirsty paints the scene of Derik’s tail-wagging announcements, and muses he is Employee of the Month material...
Tea time stirs up a spat: Kirsty has no idea what the difference is before Simon thinks he can explain but fails. For all those who want to know...? Afternoon tea’s the posh one, high tea’s heartier. Kirsty’s eyeing scones, Simon’s dreaming of pie.
Then they dive into With Love, Meghan on Netflix—Kirsty’s hooked on Meghan’s jam-making and flower-arranging, calling it “posh but oddly soothing.” Simon’s less sold, grumbling that it’s “too much faffing about” and wondering why there’s no episode on bacon sarnies. They spar over whether it’s aspirational or just bonkers, with Kirsty questioning peoples opinions and why anyone needs them, ironically giving her opinion.
The late check-in drama reaches a conclusion. Was it a drama or merely a storm in an afternoon tea cup.
Orange Juice gate has an update. Is there a resolution in sight!
Kirsty wraps with her bargain of the week—something she snagged for a steal, but she’s coy on details. “It’s something I´ve wanted for ages,” she smirks, while Simon has no choice but to agree... for once!
