Most likely, 95% of concert pianists started with “just a neighborhood teacher” before moving on to study with a more advanced teacher. Teaching beginners and intermediate students is JUST AS IMPORTANT of an endeavor as teaching advanced students. If it weren’t for my mom and grandma, who were “just neighborhood teachers”, this podcast, my YouTube channel, and my music career wouldn’t exist.
