Today I am joined by my good friend, Chris Atkins. Chris is a seasoned Producer with almost 70 trips to Israel. He and I have been working together for more than 20 years. Without Chris Atkins, there would be no Joe Amaral.

Chris was in Israel and flew out the same day that Hamas launched its unprecedented and deadly attack against Israel in the early hours of October 7, 2023.

After taking cover in a bunker at the Ben Gurion Airport, Chris was on one of the last flights, if not the last flight, out of the war zone. They had to wait for a lull in rocket fire in order to take off.

He shares his personal story and Chris and I talk about our collective experiences in Israel with both Jews and Palestinians.
