21 episodes

The Jobseeker's Guide To The Galaxy is for, with and about people experiencing job loss, or coming back from a career break, trying to navigate the challenging job market of today.

I started this podcast after my role was made redundant early 2024, around the same time my mother was dying and life seemed to fall apart.

On this podcast I will talk to jobseeker's as well as recruiters and hiring managers. They will all share their personal stories and share tips/ideas/recommendations for you.

Every episode will have something for you to take with you on your job-hunt.

Episodes released weekly.

Let's share our experiences to help others going through this.

Episode 8 - John Ajah

Episode 8 - John Ajah

John Ajah moved to the UK from Nigeria as soon as the borders opened up again during the pandemic.

He shares his very personal story of how he took a voluntary redundancy just as he and his wife were expecting their second child.

I personally loved this conversation and it we spoke a lot about how to focus on your blessings and how to get yourself in a better mental state when getting rejection after rejection after rejection.

This is a very feel good episode you don't want to miss!

And yes, he of course answers the question we all really want to know - what's his favourite biscuit?

The Jobseeker's Guide To The Galaxy is a podcast for, with and about people on the job-hunt due to job loss or coming back from a career break.

Enjoy!
