Dr. Karen Kelly is a Physiologist for the Navy and her research has two primary areas of focus, warfighter performance and musculoskeletal injury prevention. Her research incorporates the understanding of pathophysiological changes that occur as a result of high training loads and training/operating in extreme environments. Most recently her research has focused on undersea performance, winter warfare and close combat/tactical stress. As you listen, you can quickly tell Dr. Kelly is passionate about helping our fighting forces perform safely and optimally and she knows what she is talking about.
