Most people start their careers full of hope and optimism. But career and professional aspirations may evaporate with time as the realities of work place competition , human relationships and dynamics and sometimes pure luck sets in. Fact is career aspirations can be derailed and the high enthusiasm  at  the onset of one’s career may soon give way to skepticism and cynicism and in the extreme a downward spiral from unfulfilled dreams and aspirations.
