Hello everyone! I’m proud to announce that Episode 0 of my new project, The Itchy, Tasty Podcast is now out for your listening pleasure! This episode was made possible thanks to my great friend, game tech analyst John Linneman (@dark1x). We spend 90 minutes discussing various ports of Resident Evil games released over the last 22 years - from Resident Evil on Sega Saturn to Resident Evil 2 on Nintendo 64, Resident Evil 4 on PlayStation, Resident Evil Revelations 2 on PlayStation Vita, and more! This is my first time ever launching a self-made podcast, and it’s been challenging. So please forgive me for the various audio issues with the main segment. Please leave your feedback below or tweet at me (@cvxfreak) so we can make this podcast even better! The podcast for this theme was composed by Ms. Akari Kaida, an ex-Capcom composer who worked on the original Resident Evil (the ceiling trap room theme), OKAMI, the Mega Man series and more! She’s on Twitter at @AkariKaida speaks English, so give her a shoutout! Finally, @CarcinogenSDA and I are running a campaign to give away two signed copies of Resident Evil 3: Nemesis by its Director, Kazuhiro Aoyama! We recently ran a stream of the game with Aoyama-san, where he was kind enough to give us his impressions and anecdotes of the game’s development. Timestamps: 00:30 - Introduction 05:00 - Resident Evil on Sega Saturn 10:10 - Resident Evil 2 on Sega Saturn 14:20 - Resident Evil 2 on Tiger Game.com 17:45 - Resident Evil 2 on Nintendo 64 26:40 - Resident Evil 0 on Nintendo 64 28:36 - Resident Evil 2 on Dreamcast 34:40 - Resident Evil 3: Nemesis on PlayStation, Dreamcast, PC and GameCube 38:35 - Resident Evil CODE: Veronica X on PlayStation 2 44:30 - Resident Evil CODE: Veronica X on GameCube 45:50 - Resident Evil CODE: Veronica X HD for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 49:12 - Resident Evil CODE: Veronica X for PlayStation 4 (PS2 Classics) 52:20 - Resident Evil 4 on PlayStation 2 1:02:57 - Resident Evil 4 on Windows PC (2007 version) 1:04:10 - Resident Evil 4 Mobile Edition 1:06:10 - Resident Evil Degeneration for mobile phones 1:06:27 - Resident Evil 4 Wii edition 1:09:25 - Resident Evil 4 HD for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 1:11:45 - Resident Evil Chronicles HD Selection for PlayStation 3 1:12:22 - Resident Evil: Deadly Silence for Nintendo DS 1:17:07 - Modern Ports/HD Remasters 1:20:10 - Resident Evil 7 Biohazard cloud version for Nintendo Switch 1:22:30 - Resident Evil Revelations 2 for PlayStation Vita 1:26:50 - Closing Comments
