Today, I’m joined by Sheldon Greaves, a scholar, thinker, and lifelong explorer of ideas who’s taken a truly unconventional path through the world of academia.
Sheldon earned his Ph.D. in Ancient Near Eastern Studies from UC Berkeley, right in the middle of the Silicon Valley dot-com boom. But instead of following the usual academic path, he pioneered what he calls “guerrilla scholarship” — the practice of doing meaningful, creative intellectual work outside traditional institutions.
His journey blends history, technology, and curiosity — and his story challenges what it really means to live a life of the mind in the modern world.
We’ll talk about knowledge, purpose, and how to think freely in an age of conformity.
