In this episode of The Inflection Point, I dive into a wonderful conversation with Ryan Pfriem Ryan is a finance major and accounting minor enrolled at the University of Alberta’s Bachelor of Commerce program in Edmonton, Alberta. Ryan is in his fifth year of his undergraduate degree and will be graduating this April. He is part of the U of A’s Program for Research and Investment Management Excellence (PRIME) where he is a manager for the Financials and Real Estate Sector, helping actively manage a ~C$2.0M portfolio of TSX-listed equities. He is also Co-President of the U of A’s Venture Capital and Private Equity (VCPE) club, a student group aimed at increasing participation and education of private finance among the U of A student body. After graduation, Ryan plans to obtain his CFA and work in capital markets within Alberta, preferably in the energy or real estate sectors. Outside of classes, Ryan remains involved in the student community through student clubs, and playing sports with classmates. Little Wing by Jimmy Hendrix is on top of his charts right now.
