#9 Le’Nise Brothers
In this episode I’m speaking with Le’Nise Brothers
I heard Le’Nise speak at Stylist Live in 2018 and have since followed her online since. She asked me to be part of her podcast Period Story last year and when I wanted someone to come talk about hormones, I knew I wanted Le’Nise to come talk about hormones.
Le’Nise Brothers is a registered nutritionist, mBANT, mCHNC, specialising in women’s health, hormones and the menstrual cycle, yoga teacher. She is also the host ost of the Period Story podcast. She works with women who want to get control of sugar cravings, mood swings and hormonal acne, bloating and headaches, as well as increase their energy levels.
Le’Nise has helped many women with hormonal issues ranging from PMS, PCOS, fibroids, endometriosis, heavy, painful, missing & irregular periods, post-natal depletion, perimenopause and menopause.
She set up her practice Eat Love Move to help empower and educate women to understand their bodies, advocate for better healthcare and heal.
In this episode:
Le’Nise talks about how she doesn’t like the label Imposter Syndrome and the reason why that’s important to her
Le’Nise shares her personal experience of racism and sexism at work and what others in this situation can do
Le’Nise talks about how words and the labels we use to describe women and women of colour matter
Le’Nise also shares the advice given to her by her parents growing up about how she would be judged because of the colour of her skin and how that has shaped her work ethic
Le’Nise also shares some excellent tips about working with our hormones including when to ask your male boss for a pay rise!
I know I say this every time but I loved this conversation and I hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed talking with Le’Nise
