
Omoni Oboli (born April 22, 1978, in Benin City, Edo State, Nigeria) is an award-winning actress, filmmaker, producer, and director from Delta State.
She studied French at the University of Benin and later trained in digital filmmaking at the New York Film Academy. Omoni began acting in 1996 but paused to complete her education before returning to Nollywood with major roles in The Figurine (2009), Anchor Baby (2010), and Being Mrs Elliott (2014).
Beyond acting, she has written, directed, and produced several successful films such as Wives on Strike, Love in every word and Love Is War. Her work often highlights social issues, women’s empowerment, and family values.
Married to Nnamdi Oboli since 2000, she’s a mother of three sons and became a grandmother in 2024.
She has won multiple awards, including Best Actress at the Los Angeles Movie Awards and the Harlem International Film Festival for Anchor Baby.
