On the Illustration Conversation we aim to explore our discipline from different perspectives, in order to demystify the nature of contemporary illustration and learn more about how it can be an empowering tool for the liberation of our identities and cultures. We’ve paired up some of our students and recent graduates with a practitioner they aspire to and asked each of them to create an image that signifies a crucial moment on their journey to becoming an illustrator. Through meandering and organic conversation we hope to unpick these images and understand the important moments in our contributors lives that led them down their chosen path. The Podcast is hosted and produced by Maisie Noble, a practicing illustrator and educator, Maisie works as a Senior Lecturer and Year One Leader on Ba Illustration and Visual Media at London College of Communication.
