To the Eastern North Pacific:
Showers and thunderstorms associated with an area of low pressure located about 300 miles south of the southern end of the Baja California Peninsula has become a little better organized overnight. Environmental conditions appear favorable for the development of this system and a tropical depression or tropical storm is forecast to form over the next day or so as it moves northwest at about 10 mph, prob able to remain several hundred miles offshore west of Baja California South. It has a high (90 percent) chance of formation in the next 8 hours and 5 days.
South-South Mexico: An area of severe weather has formed over the Gulf of Tehuantepec. Gradual development of this system is possible over the course of the next few days, and a tropical depression could form late this weekend or early next week as it moves westward or west-northwest Cer South and Southwest Coast CA Mexico. It has a low (10 percent) chance of formation in the next 48 hours and a medium (60 percent) chance in the next 5 days.
