Ruel and Maan Aguirre spent more than a decade being missionaries for the Lord. They met and became boyfriend and girlfriend while being missionaries of the youth arm of Couples for Christ. Their journey of giving themselves to the Lord paved way for them to answer the vocation of marriage and family life together and eventually go on missions as a couple. Years later, they are now fondly called ate and kuya by missionaries younger than them. It is in this view that we saw them worthy to be called Teachers of Life since they journeyed us through life lessons beyond the classroom. So bakit nga di nalang sila nagturo in the first place?
