This week we’re diving into the world of neuromodulators. There’s still a stigma that exists with botox along with many misconceptions. Neuromodulators (aka neurotoxins or BoTox) are an anti-wrinkle treatment that help soften fine lines and wrinkles. Botulinum toxin was first used medically and cosmetically in the late-1980s. Since then, several versions of botulinum toxin have been developed and FDA approved for use. These include Botox Cosmetic, Dysport, Xeomin, Jeuveau.
Join us in today’s episode as we talk about how neuromodulators work, who should avoid neuromodulators, what are some common side effects that can occur, and what are some misconceptions and evidence-based facts regarding neuromodulator treatment.
