The History St Pat’s Pod explores the rich history of St Patrick’s Athletic FC. This podcast is the latest addition to the History St Pat’s project. The podcast is hosted by Saints fans Gary O’Nualláin, well-known as the stadium announcer at Richmond Park, and Dermot Looney, author of ‘Saints Rising - The Early History of St Patrick’s Athletic FC.’

Episode 4 - Saints All-Time XI Right-Back, and Season Review, 1933/34

Episode 4 sees us announce the first member of our All-Time Saints XI and decide the four candidates for the second pick - our right full-back. Dermot makes a special plea for a blast from the past, but Gary seems to be firmly behind a more recent right-back.

We look back at season 1933/34, the fourth for the Saints in competitive football, and profile one of the great players of the era, Des Dempsey.
