Grammy-winning Burt Blackarach aka Amani K. Smith has produced music for Method Man, Redman, Public Enemy, MC Lyte, Aerosmith, Ludacris, KRS One & Busta Rhymes. Burt has DJ'd for Interscope Records, private parties for Jay Z, NaS & Prince as well as scratched on albums for Public Enemy & Redman. For his work with Public Enemy, Burt's name was added to the PE plaque that was installed in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2013. On Friday 15th Nov Burt was in Brixton, London to gig with Fullee Love aka Zaakir aka Soup from Jurassic 5. They have just finished an album which is coming out v soon & I was lucky enough to be on the support bill for this exclusive preview show. I was even more honoured when I found out at the last minute that Burt was coming onto my show to talk about his career, influences & the upcoming release. I play a few world exclusive sneak previews alongside some of Burt’s older tracks which even HE had forgotten about! (I also spin cuts from Ice T, Tribe Called Quest, Big L, Big Daddy Kane, LL Cool J, ODB, Game & Ice Cube).
