This Ladies only podcast will be a series of several episodes ranging from how women treat each other to what women can do to move forward faster and bring others with them. So make sure you are following me so you can easily get the future episodes as they are launched.
Let’s all agree that women need to do a better job at supporting and talking each other up. Its mind boggling to me that research shows women are more inhumane to women than men are – This fact is based on an interesting book called Woman’s Inhumanity To Woman by Phyllis Chesler.
Where has the sisterhood gone? And how is this possible especially when you think about the fact that more than half of the planet are made up of women, are in schools, the workplace and everything else have more women than men. So why is it that we can’t get our heads around supporting each other?
We need to do a better job at raising women up. One of the best examples of this was when I was at JPM there was an effort which was launched and it was called 30-5-1. Something you can do every week or every month. Easy to do – spend 30 minutes mentoring or coaching another women, spend 5 minutes congratulating a woman on something she did and 1 minute telling someone else about it. 30-5 and 1. Pretty easy to follow and it costs no money – just your time. Imagine if each of us did this how awesome it would be.
There was an article in Darlingmagazine.org you should check out. It hits the nail on the head as to why celebrating other women makes you more successful. It’s a great read, pass it on. That’s Darlingmagazine.org
