Ladies Only - Professional Stalking

Ladies Only - Professional Stalking

Remember your new mantra – don’t come to work come to work to network.

Just coming to work everyday– even if you are a high performer and everyone likes you and gives you stellar feedback that is not the recipe for advancement.

If the only person who knows you are the people who are supposed to know you because of your job– that’s what I could call a career limiting move.

I am not talking about shaking hands at events or kissing up to senior people

I am talking about getting to know more people and getting them to know you.

Who you are not just what you can do – more like a character reference.

Professional stalking is not for everyone but I think you get the point.

So remember don’t come to work to work – come to work to network. Working is important don’t get me wrong – you get paid to work. But don’t forget about the importance of networking, meeting people, developing relationships and expanding your professional circle. Take a % of your day, week or month and make it a point to network with others.  But remember to be strategic and connect your network plan to your career goals.
