Today I invite you to join my guest, Rafael Vazquez, as he walks down memory lane to tell us about his life as a circus performer. He grew up in a family whose connections to the circus stretch back to the 1800’s, and in his time as a performer he had a high bar act, was a clown, did trampoline and aerial performances, was an elephant trainer, had an act with chimpanzees, and, relevant to the purposes of this podcast, he and his wife had a very popular act with dogs, which was known as “Al’s Pals.” I hope you enjoy hearing about this intriguing canine career!
