In this episode, I had the pleasure of speaking with Dr. Stephen Barrett, a specialist in podiatry and pain management who has trained over 6,000 surgeons. We discussed the serious issue of chronic pain and how many people suffer without understanding the root causes. Dr. Barrett emphasized the importance of identifying the true source of pain, which can often be linked to conditions like diabetes and nerve damage, and how addressing these issues can significantly improve patients' lives.

We also talked about the role of education in health, particularly regarding diet and lifestyle choices. Dr. Barrett pointed out that many people are unaware of how their food choices, like consuming seed oils and sugars, can lead to chronic diseases such as diabetes. By providing patients with the right information and tools, like continuous glucose monitoring, we can empower them to make better decisions for their health and ultimately reduce their pain and suffering.
