Food for your intellect. Strength for your spirit. Balm for your heart.
The Healing and Peace Show with Thomas Schmierer, LMFT is where you get wise counsel based on Sacred Scripture, Sacred Tradition, and sound science.
Thomas Schmierer is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with a Master’s in Moral Theology who is faithful to the teachings of the Roman Magisterium. He is a Benedictine oblate with a special admiration for the spirituality of Opus Dei. Thomas specializes in modifying evidence-based practices to make them consistent with the Church's teachings. With a passion for spreading Gospel truths such as those found within Pope St. John Paul II's Theology of the Body, he strives to help listeners to live out their unique vocations to love with ever greater peace, holiness, and joy. Often this includes offering practical guidance on personal and relational healing.
In some episodes, Thomas interviews great Catholic theological minds like Christopher West, Katrina Zeno, and Fr. Thomas Morrow. Other interviews are with physical “healers” like NY Times best-selling author, Joel Fuhrman, M.D. Thomas also interviews those who have undergone a process of healing and who offer sound advice on how to heal the body and soul based on their personal experience, like Maura Preszler, foundress of the Made In His Image ministry and Emily Boller, author of Starved to Obesity.
In other episodes, Thomas provides information and guidance on how to heal and find peace. Some of these episodes include a “Theology of the Body study group” where he expounds on the actual text of the audiences of St. Pope John Paul II that are collectively called the Theology of the Body. Listeners are encouraged to submit questions, not only on Theology of the Body, but on all topics related to healing and finding peace. The Healing and Peace Show is tailored to the listeners, so be sure to write a comment on one of Thomas’ social media sites to let him know what you want him to address as pertains to your own personal and relational healing.
