An Interview With Mrs Rose Rhetta, Hampton’s Oldest Living Graduate
Today’s episode is with Mrs. Rose Rhetta. This episode is special because it was done for Hampton’s 150th legacy, and I am sharing it now that I’m officially a Hampton graduate. Mrs. Rose Rhetta is a 1939 graduate of Hampton University, and she is currently Hampton’s oldest living graduate. This interview took place when she was 100, and she is now 104. She is originally from New York, and moved to Illinois where she currently resides in 1942 when she married her college sweetheart, Henry Rhetta. Together they have an amazing legacy, with three children, Jane, Dwayne, and Henry Jr with two grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. During this interview, Mrs. Rhetta and I discuss her time at Hampton University, and her legacy at Hampton and the legacy of the university. Thanks for tuning in, and remember to rate, share, and subscribe!
