The original discovery was by accident in the middle of a residential area when a garage floor was never getting dry and on further investigation, the source of the water was determined to be artesian well under the house. Dr. Pohlmann started a small bottling operation out of his garage, selling small numbers of bottles to health food stores. After his death the source was dormant for about 20 years.   The source was not used until recently when retiree Dieter Wierz and his business partner Nicola Piesch revitalized the old source and started bottling out of the garage again in 2019.   The hand-filled bottles are delivered to local stores and restaurants. The water has a low mineral content of about 171 mg/l especially compared to other German waters with a much higher minerality.  The permission to bottle out of the garage will expire soon and plans are underway to relocate to a professional bottling plant in the vicinity.   Radius 99 is a true hand crafted, regional and hyper-local water.
