In our first 'Does It Really Matter?' video I explore some ideas around why I prefer overdrive pedals at the start of my signal chain. Pedal  order is largely a personal decision and there are all sorts of reasons why you may want to put your overdrive pedal after your chorus pedal.  Or your delay pedal in front of your distortion pedal. So what is the best pedal order and does it really matter? Today I look at stacking gain pedals and the effects of using a clean boost to achieve new tones out of your existing drive pedals.  I also explain my thinking behind the pedal order on my old live pedalboard, which now lives in disarray at the studio.
