Hello and welcome to The Growing Mums Podcast, with me Kiera Hawkins. I am a Primary School Teacher and mother of two, trying to muddle through motherhood and learn from my mistakes along the way. Here we will be talking all things modern parenting, from baby and toddler sleep to self-development and growth. We will be having those raw, honest conversations that mums don’t often get a chance to have in the playground and we will be searching for those moments where we find connection through shared experiences. Get ready for some advice from experts as well as some insightful ‘motherhood confessions’. Let’s get started!

How to stop emotional eating and repair your relationship with food

So this episode went way deeper than I was planning! Josi basically gave me a therapy session on the podcast and wow, she really sees into your soul!

I think it's fair to say that the vast majority of us who grew up in the 80s/90s and spent our teenage year idolising Kate Moss, "Nothing tastes as good as skinny feels", might have a complicated and somewhat unhealthy relationship with food.

In this episode, Josi and I discuss the triggers for emotional eating and how you can start to retrain yourself to make different choices and identity the underlying feelings behind the emotional eating.

I really got a lot from speaking to Josi in the episode and I hope you guys do to.

If you want to hear more from Josi, follow her on @bloomin.motherful or @thesagemama on Instagram and check out her website which is linked above.

Thank you so much for all your support, it means the world.

Lots of love, K x
