For many less observant families, the Bat/Bar Mitzvah represents the pinnacle of the childhood religious experience. There is significant buildup to the event but less focus on formalized religious instruction afterwards during a key period of intellectual growth. We explore the experience from the child's perspective and what we can learn to keep the fire going in jewish study beyond the bar/bat mitzvah with special guest and recent bat mitzvah girl, Moriah Schranz.
