Coffee Bag to Surfboard Bag - Meet Billy Bags

In this episode, Maha talks to Stacey Horton based in the beautifulPapamoa, New Zealand. She's the 27-year-old woman behind the new surfboard bag business, Billy Bags. From taking old materials at op-shops and used coffee bags from a food truck, with the help of her mum, the grooviest surfboard bags are created. Each Billy Bag that is sold helps give $5 to Sheldrick Trust.

Maha and Stacey have an in depth conversation about upcycling and the connection a surfer feels to preserving our oceans. They talk about the recent shark sightings in New Zealand as well as marine conservation.

Have a listen to this great episode with Stacey to find out what Billy Bags and their kaupapa (mission) is all about.
