Robbie Fowler On Liverpool’s SLUMP, Gatecrashing Real Madrid’s Trophy Party & Why He’s UNDERRATED!
Liverpool icon Robbie Fowler sits down with Paul Scholes, Nicky Butt and Paddy McGuinness for an unfiltered chat about the highs, lows and funniest moments from his career.
The lads dive into Liverpool’s loss to Manchester City and what it means for their Premier League ambitions, before things take a weird turn as Robbie tells the unbelievable story of how he ended up on the Real Madrid team bus celebrating their La Liga title… and how the night continued at Ronaldo’s (R9) house.
They also hear about the time he got so sunburnt while away with England that he couldn’t chest the ball and the phone call he had with then Chelsea boss Gianluca Vialli after Liverpool tried to sell him behind the scenes.
Robbie also opens up on his frustrations about not even getting interviews for managerial jobs in England, and why he feels he deserves to be talked about in the same breath as Wayne Rooney and Michael Owen when it comes to players who exploded onto the scene.
The conversation also turns to the infamous “Spice Boys” tag: was it fair? Robbie gives his honest take on how that label shaped perceptions of the team and his own career and reveals the truth behind those famous white suits at Wembley,. He also talks candidly about why he never truly enjoyed his time with England.
All that plus Nicky Butt recalls the time he had dreadlocks for three hours… until Sir Alex saw him.
