Paul Merson: Arsenal’s title charge, Man Utd’s problems and living with Gazza
Scholesy, Nicky and Paddy are joined this week by former Arsenal, Middlesbrough, Aston Villa and Portsmouth favourite Paul Merson.
They discuss what winning at Newcastle has done for Arsenal’s title challenge and whether the Gunners are favourites for the Premier League. Merse reveals the surprise name Chelsea shouldn’t have allowed to leave and the lads discuss whether defeat to Sunderland could finally mean the end for Ruben Amorim at Old Trafford.
Plus Merse remembers what it was like living with Paul Gascoigne in Boro and Nicky recalls the sad flight home after they were both left out of England’s squad for the 1998 World Cup. Merse also names the best striker he ever played with and explains why Steve Staunton probably won’t invite a football squad to his house again.
