August 26th marked 4 years since suicide bombers and gunmen killed 13 American service members in Kabul days before the full withdrawal of troops from Afghanistan. It was 2021 when they paid the ultimate price and 20-year-old Marine Lance Cpl. Jared Schmitz, from St. Louis, was one of them.His Gold Star family continues to pay the price.
