In Wilhelm Meister’s Apprenticeship, Johann Wolfgang von Goethe wrote that “One ought, every day at least, to hear a little song, read a good poem, see a fine picture, and, if it were possible, to speak a few reasonable words." Here on the Goethe Report we speak with those who have composed those little songs, written the good poems, and painted the fine pictures; and, hopefully, we will speak a few reasonable words about them.
