A few weeks ago, my husband Corey joined me on the podcast to discuss biblical marriage and what it truly means to put God at the center of our relationship.
I want to start by being honest. Before Jesus truly took hold of my heart, I blamed my husband for every negative thing in my life—our struggles, our marriage, everything. But through God’s grace, he encouraged me to take radical accountability for my actions, leading me through a powerful journey of sanctification.
Just a few weeks ago, he said to me, “You are pure before me, but you are not healed.”
I know God loves me and deeply cares about our healing. That’s why we turn to scripture, like in 1 Thessalonians 4:3, which reminds us: "It is God’s will that you be sanctified."
God had plans for my process of sanctification—plans for my purity, my transformation.
Sanctification: The process of becoming more like Christ, set apart for His purpose.
It is God's will that I walk through this transformation, and if that’s His will for me, it’s His will for YOU, too.
So, where are you in your own process of sanctification?
(On a scale from "I don’t know what that means" to "I’m in this process, but it’s daunting and I don’t feel like I’m getting anywhere.")
Know this: Jesus will draw you closer to Him, and our convictions will guide us in His Way. My prayer is that you embrace the process of sanctification as a road to your continued growth and that you see him in every single step.
